Finger Prick
Swab Your Hand
Before collecting the blood sample, please clean your hand with the provided sterile swab to prevent contamination and ensure accurate readings.
Collect Blood Sample
A gentle prick to your finger facilitates the collection of a few drops of blood, which will be tested for over 200 potential allergens and intolerances.
Seal the Tube
The collected sample is securely stored in a sterile tube, ready for analysis in our laboratory, ensuring the highest standards of testing accuracy.

Saliva Swab
The saliva swab is a quick, easy, and non-invasive test suitable for individuals of all ages, including children and infants. This method enables us to assess potential intolerances and imbalances in the gut microbiome.
Swab your saliva
Gently use the provided swab to collect saliva from inside your cheek. This sample helps identify imbalances in the oral and gut microbiome that may contribute to various health issues.
Swab around the gum
Swab around the gum area for additional sampling to ensure we gather enough saliva for comprehensive testing, aiding in the discovery of sensitivities you may not be aware of.
Collect & Seal the tube
After completing the swab, securely place the swab inside the collection bag, ensuring it is sealed tightly before sending it for analysis.

How can the Back to Balance Test® assist with gut health?
Detailed Gut Microbiome Analysis:
We conduct an in-depth assessment of the balance between beneficial and harmful bacteria in your gut. Our tests identify signs of dysbiosis (microbial imbalance), overgrowths (such as Candida), and gut infections (including parasites).
Leaky Gut Assessment:
Our advanced testing measures intestinal permeability to determine if your gut lining is damaged or compromised, which can significantly impact overall health.
Food Intolerance & Sensitivity Testing:
We evaluate food sensitivities and intolerances that may trigger inflammation and digestive discomfort. Common irritants tested may include gluten, dairy, soy, and other prevalent allergens.
What are the symptoms of poor gut health?
Digestive Discomfort: Frequent bloating, gas, or abdominal discomfort can indicate an imbalance in gut health.
Irregular Bowel Movements: Conditions such as diarrhoea or constipation may signal underlying gut issues.
Food Intolerances or Sensitivities: Increased sensitivity to certain foods can be a sign of a compromised gut lining.
Skin Issues: Problems like acne, eczema, or rashes may arise from gut imbalances.
Cognitive and Emotional Symptoms: Unexplained fatigue, brain fog, and mood swings can also be linked to poor gut health.
Common Causes of Gut Imbalance Included:
Diet and Lifestyle
Stress
Antibiotic Use
Environmental Toxins
What does a targeted treatment plan include?
Step 1: Remove Triggers – The first step involves eliminating foods that may be causing inflammation or irritation in the gut, as well as addressing any gut infections or bacterial overgrowths that may be disrupting digestive health.
Step 2: Repair the Gut Lining – Next, nutritional support is provided to help heal and strengthen the gut lining, often through anti-inflammatory foods that reduce irritation and promote tissue repair.
Step 3: Reintroduce and Balance – Once the gut has begun to heal, the plan focuses on rebuilding a healthy gut microbiome, incorporating personalized nutrition to restore balance and support long-term digestive function.
Step 4: Ongoing Support and Maintenance – Finally, ongoing consultations and progress monitoring are key to ensuring the gut remains healthy and that the treatment plan evolves as needed to maintain optimal digestive health.
